AIMIA Australian Mobile Phone Lifestyle Index results released
/AIMIA, the industry body for interactive content and digital media in Australia, has just released the 8th report on how Australians are using their mobile phones. The survey is known as the Australian Mobile Phone Lifestyle Index (AMPLI) and has been tracking mobile phone behaviour among Australians for the last 8 years. This year’s survey also looks at the impact of tablet devices on mobile phone use. Key findings from the 8th Annual AMPLI report include:
- Almost 40 per cent of respondents own a tablet, up from 16 per cent in 2011
- Satisfaction with carrier services remains low
- Apple dominates with iPhone and iPad the most popular handset and tablet respectively
- Application use continues to rise
